IN LOVING MEMORY OF MARTIN RICHARD

On April 15, 2013, acts of terrorism came back to hunt our nation after two bombs exploded during the Boston Marathon.  Just as we were getting comfortable and leaving behind the fears left after the attacks of September 11, here we are weeping, mourning and feeling uneasy again.  So many people injured so many faces in despair and unfortunately the news of those who tragically didn’t make it.
After finding out that one of the victims was an 8 year old boy named Martin Richard, my heart sunk so, so, so deep and my tears just starting flowing uncontrollably (I really have a soft spot for kids).  And though I’m emotionally hurting with all the affected victims, I’m extremely brokenhearted for the loss of Martin Richard.
Personally I never knew Martin, neither have I ever met the Richards, yet, is so overwhelming to think that dreams, hopes and major milestones are forever gone.  I’ve heard that the Richards are kind people involved in helping their community and they’re also great parents, always caring for their children.  I also heard that Martin was a great little 3rd greater full of life and always smiling. Today, I join the millions of people praying across the globe, imploring with all my soul for God to give the Richards inner strength, peace and comfort in the midst of this horrible tragedy and that Mrs. Richard and her youngest daughter may recover fast from their physical injuries.  I also pray for all the affected people to find the healing and restoration their soul desperately needs.  And I pray for our nation to stand firm and believe in a God that is greater and stronger than our enemy.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18.
The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid.  Even if I am attacked,
I will remain confident. Psalm 27:1-3
